QS & Estimation Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced QS & Estimation Engineer with 10–12 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, tendering, and contract management for civil construction projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM Modeling, along with expertise in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and project cost control.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from construction drawings and BIM models.
• Develop accurate BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for civil, structural, and architectural works.
• Prepare cost estimates, project budgets, and feasibility studies.
• Conduct detailed rate analysis based on current market trends.
• Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings for estimation purposes.
• Analyze tender documents, specifications, and contract conditions.
• Prepare technical and commercial bids for government and private sector projects.
• Coordinate with the Design, Planning, Procurement, and Project Execution teams.
• Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparative statements.
• Monitor project costs, budget utilization, and cost variances.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs.
• Verify contractor bills, client bills, and variation orders.
• Prepare reconciliation statements for materials and project quantities.
• Maintain cost databases and estimation records for future reference.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
  

Required Technical skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD for drawing interpretation and quantity extraction.
• Hands-on experience with Revit for quantity extraction and model coordination.
• Strong understanding of BIM (Building Information Modeling) and BIM-based quantity take-offs.
• Expertise in BOQ preparation, estimation, and tendering.
• Knowledge of MS Excel (Advanced), MS Office, and ERP systems.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contracts, and cost control techniques.

• B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering (Full-Time).
• Additional certifications in Quantity Surveying, BIM, Revit, or Cost Management will be an added advantage.
