Company Description INVENTA Technologies Pvt Limited, established in 1989, is a Chennai-based company focused on R&D, design, and engineering in polymer materials. The core business includes Two Verticals: A. Advanced Engineered Plastics compounds and B. Sustainability - Recycling and Upcycling of Molded Plastics parts. We serve Automotive, EV, Electrical & Industrial Tier 1 and OEMs.

Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruvallur. This role involves identifying new business opportunities with our Engineered Plastics compounds, and Recycling solutions, and building long-term relationships with industrial clients and partners. The Business Development Manager will conduct market research, prepare proposals, lead client presentations, and coordinate with internal technical and R&D teams to design tailored solutions. Daily responsibilities include managing the sales pipeline, negotiating contracts, tracking performance metrics, and preparing regular reports for leadership. The role also requires participation in industry events, supporting marketing activities, and contributing to strategic growth initiatives for both domestic and international markets.

Qualifications

  • Strong business development and B2B sales skills, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, and relationship management.
  • Experience with industrial or engineering products and solutions, using Engineering Plastics.
  • Ability to conduct market and competitor analysis, develop growth strategies, and prepare commercial proposals and business cases.
  • Competence in contract negotiation, pricing discussions, and closing deals while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset to work closely with engineering, R&D, and operations teams on customized client solutions.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and basic data analysis for sales performance tracking.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree or MBA is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in polymers, materials science, compounding sectors is highly desirable.
  • Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working on-site in Tiruvallur, with readiness to travel to client locations as needed.
