Company Description

AcadHire is a specialist recruitment consultancy focused on the education sector. The organization partners with schools, EdTech companies, training institutes, and education consulting firms to hire verified, pre-screened talent. AcadHire supports hiring for a wide range of academic, leadership, sales, and operations roles, including teachers, faculty, curriculum specialists, admissions counselors, academic heads, principals, operations managers, and business development managers. By combining sector-specific expertise with a rigorous screening process, AcadHire helps education organizations build strong, high-performing teams. The team operates with a client- and candidate-centric approach, emphasizing quality placements and long-term relationships.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote Associate – Recruitment Consultant role.

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Associate – Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team.

In this role, you will manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including understanding client requirements, drafting job descriptions, sourcing candidates through multiple channels and screening profiles. Beyond recruitment execution, you will also work in business development and market intelligence, maintaining a living database of candidates and potential clients, proactively identifying hiring requirements before they are formally listed, and writing targeted cold outreach communication to bring new clients on board. This is a high-ownership role suited for someone who thrives in a target-driven environment and has a genuine interest in the education space.

Key responsibilities

Recruitment execution

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for client mandates across academic, operations, and leadership roles.
  • Source candidates via LinkedIn, Naukri, Indeed, internal databases, and referrals.
  • Conduct initial telephonic/video screening to assess experience, fitment, and CTC expectations.
  • Prepare curated shortlists (3–5 profiles) with structured candidate assessments for clients.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews; manage communication between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Support offer negotiation, follow-up, and onboarding coordination to ensure smooth closures.
  • Assist in writing and refining job descriptions for client requirements.

Business development & market intelligence

  • Maintain and regularly update the candidate database - profiles tagged by role type, subject specialisation, location, experience level, and availability, so supply is always ready when a mandate comes in.
  • Build and maintain potential client database -including schools, education consulting companies, EdTech companies, coaching institutes, and education groups by location, size, hiring patterns, board/curriculum type, and key decision-maker contacts; keep records updated as organisations expand, open new centres, or undergo leadership changes.
  • Proactively monitor LinkedIn, job boards, and education sector news to anticipate client hiring requirements - track job postings, expansion announcements, new centre launches, and seasonal hiring cycles to identify potential mandates before organisations formally reach out.
  • Write and send targeted cold emails to potential clients: craft concise, personalised outreach to school HRs, principals, EdTech founders, and operations heads introducing AcadHire's services, referencing their specific hiring context, and initiating conversations that convert into mandates.
  • Identify and flag warm leads to the senior team based on market signals - a school posting multiple teacher roles independently is a potential AcadHire client.
  • Track and report on recruitment metrics: sourcing TAT, conversion ratios, interview-to-offer rates, database growth, and outreach response rates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline (HR, Psychology, Education, or Business preferred).
  • 0–2 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, BD, or HR; strong freshers welcome.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Hindi, and other regional languages (advantage).
  • Comfortable in a target-driven, fast-paced environment with closure and pipeline goals.
  • Strong writing skills - ability to craft clear, professional, and persuasive emails.
  • High attention to detail; ability to manage multiple open positions and database records simultaneously.
  • Genuine interest in the education sector.

Good to have:

  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter, Naukri, or similar sourcing and prospecting platforms.
  • Prior experience or internship in a school, EdTech company, or training organisation.
  • Exposure to CRM or ATS tools, or Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive) for tracking.
  • Awareness of education sector landscape - school boards, EdTech business models, hiring seasonality.
  • Experience with cold email outreach or business development in any context.

What AcadHire Offers

  • Fixed monthly salary.
  • Fully remote - work from anywhere in India.
  • Opportunity at a focused education-sector recruitment startup - you will learn by doing, across the full recruitment cycle, from day one.
  • Direct exposure to the education sector across K-12, EdTech, coaching institutes, and training organisations.
  • High ownership and autonomy - this is not a back-office role; you will be involved in client communication and decision-making from day 1.
  • A lean, no-hierarchy team where your impact is real.
