Role Description This full-time on-site role is for an Associate Professor of Architecture at Amity University Punjab, located in Mohali, with responsibilities aligned to the academic and institutional standards of Amity University (Hyderabad campus). The Associate Professor will teach undergraduate and postgraduate architecture courses, design and update curricula, and guide students in studio work, design projects, and thesis development. Daily tasks include delivering lectures, conducting design studios, supervising research, mentoring students, and evaluating assignments and examinations. The role also involves contributing to departmental research activities, engaging in academic administration, participating in accreditation and quality assurance processes, and collaborating with industry and professional bodies. Qualifications

  • Relevant academic qualifications such as a Master’s degree in Architecture (M.Arch) or equivalent; a Ph.D. in Architecture or a related field is highly preferred
  • Candidates should possess strong expertise in Architecture and Architectural Design, with a proven ability to teach and guide students in core architectural concepts and studio practice.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Landscape Architecture to support courses and projects related to outdoor spaces, environmental design, and site planning.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Interior Design to contribute to teaching and mentoring in interior spatial planning, aesthetics, and functional design.
  • Candidates should possess strong Research skills, including the ability to conduct independent and collaborative research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and guide student research work.
  • Prior experience as a faculty member or professional architect, with evidence of teaching effectiveness, studio leadership, and academic or professional achievements.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and mentoring skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary academic environment.
  • Familiarity with architectural software and digital design tools, as well as current trends in sustainable design and built environment practices, will be an
