Junior Architect

Company Description Sandnest Consortium is a multidisciplinary design and construction firm operating, with a close-knit team of eight professionals specializing across core architectural and design disciplines. Led by Founder and Chief Architect Ar. Jaikrishna, the firm focuses on creating admirable, functional spaces for clients across the globe. Services span Architectural Design, Structural Design, Interior Design and execution, Landscape Design, Sustainable Green Buildings, and Construction. The team emphasizes innovative design ideas and practical problem-solving, with a mission to create sustainable spaces that positively impact communities and the environment.

Role Description The Junior Architect will support the design and development of architectural projects from concept through execution, working closely with senior architects and other team members. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing drawings and 3D models, assisting with design presentations, coordinating with consultants, and contributing to design solutions that align with sustainability and project requirements. The role also involves site visits, documentation, and collaboration with the construction and interior design teams to ensure design accuracy and quality. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore, requiring regular in-office and project site presence.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess foundational skills in Architecture and Architectural Design, including concept development, space planning, and design detailing.
• Candidates should possess basic Software Development and Integration skills where relevant to design tools and workflows, such as integrating digital platforms or collaborating on technology-based solutions.
• Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including task coordination, time management, and the ability to support project documentation and scheduling.
• Proficiency in architectural software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar), and familiarity with rendering tools and MS Office.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized institution; professional registration or eligibility is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow design guidelines, and openness to feedback and mentorship.
• Interest in sustainable design, green buildings, and contemporary architectural practices.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment on-site in Coimbatore.
