About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional for our IP and R&D team. The role will primarily focus on Patent Landscaping, Competitive Intelligence, Technology Scouting, and Open Innovation, along with supporting activities across the IP lifecycle. The candidate will help clients gain strategic insights into technology trends, competitor activities, and innovation opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Patent Landscape Analysis to identify technology trends, key players, and innovation gaps
• Perform Competitive Intelligence (CI) studies to track competitor strategies, R&D focus, and market positioning
• Execute Technology Scouting to identify emerging technologies, startups, and potential collaboration opportunities
• Support Open Innovation initiatives by identifying external partners, research institutions, and technology providers
• Analyze patent and non-patent literature to extract meaningful technical and business insights
• Develop and implement effective search strategies using various patent and research databases
• Interpret patent data to derive actionable insights for business and R&D decision-making
• Prepare high-quality reports, dashboards, and presentations with clear visualizations and insights
• Ensure accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of all project outputs
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to understand strategic requirements
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and global innovation landscapes
• Contribute to team KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide support in other IP analytics and research-related assignments as required
  
  

Required

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related field
• 2–5 years of experience in Patent Landscaping / Competitive Intelligence / Technology Scouting / IP Analytics
• Strong understanding of Patent Landscape studies and CI frameworks
• Familiarity with patent and research databases (e.g., Google Patents, Espacenet, etc.)
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel (data analysis, charts, dashboards) and MS PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
