About the Role


Area Sales Manager (Field) is responsible for driving strong collaboration with Regional Partner team, drive commercial performance, operational excellence, and brand compliance across assigned franchise stores within the region.


This role requires strong field presence, analytical capability, and the ability to influence franchise partners to deliver sustainable sell-out growth, superior customer experience, and disciplined execution of Banner standards.


Responsibilities


BUDGET & COMMERCIAL PERFORMANCE:

  • Manage relationships between the store network and external stakeholders, including franchise partners.
  • Top doors - Ensure Top doors performance in-terms of Sell-out & KPI’s.
  • Collaborate with partners on new store openings and refits as per defined rollout plan.
  • Monitor key KPIs including: Units per day, Conversion, Tech product sell out, Multiples.
  • Support execution of promotions and campaigns to optimize sell-through.
  • Maintain strong field presence.
  • Conduct store visits across same city and other cities within region.
  • Prepare structured visit audit reports.
  • Review and discuss findings with Regional Partner teams.
  • Own market analysis and competitor benchmarking insights & reports for the region


CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE & BRAND COMPLIANCE:

  • Ensure 100% adherence to global VM, façade communication, and promotional guidelines.
  • Drive execution of brand flow, positioning, and in-store communication standards.
  • Monitor and improve Mystery Audit scores through structured improvement plans.
  • Safeguard premium brand experience across all franchise touchpoints.


TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT:

  • Partner with Central & Leonardo teams to deploy training initiatives aligned to performance gaps.
  • Ensure 100% completion of induction modules for all new joiners within defined timelines.
  • Drive adherence to the monthly training calendar across all franchise stores.
  • Conduct periodic on-floor coaching visits to strengthen selling capability.
  • Identify skill gaps impacting performance (Units/Day, Conversion, Technical product knowledge, Multiples).
  • Track training effectiveness through measurable KPI improvement.


NEW STORE OPENING/KIOSK ROLLOUT:

  • Support pre-opening readiness audits.
  • Ensure store layout execution aligns with approved design and brand guidelines.
  • Validate manpower readiness, stock availability, and VM execution prior to launch.
  • Ensure smooth operational handover during new store openings.
  • Support refits and format rollouts as per expansion strategy.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6–10+ years of experience in retail operations or sales, preferably within a franchise retail model.
  • Exposure to premium / fashion / eyewear retail is an advantage.
