Area Manager Job Description

Job Title: Area Manager

Job Summary

The Area Manager will be responsible for overseeing sales and distribution operations within a designated region. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong managerial skills to drive sales growth, manage distributor relationships, and lead a team to achieve business objectives in the OTC sector. Mix experience of both General trade and OTC trade required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve area sales targets.
  • Manage and support a team of sales representatives to ensure optimal performance.
  • Oversee distributor management and maintain strong relationships with key partners.
  • Monitor primary and secondary sales to identify growth opportunities.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all sales activities.
  • Prepare and present sales reports to senior management.

Qualifications And Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 8-16 years of experience in sales and distribution, preferably in the FMCG sector.
  • Proven track record in area sales management and business development.
  • Strong understanding of channel sales management and OTC sales.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
