Job Description – AP Lead

Location: Gurgaon

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Accounts Payable (AP) Leader to manage and drive end-to-end AP operations for a large-scale finance function. The ideal candidate should possess strong people leadership capabilities, extensive experience in AP transformation, and hands-on exposure to Concur and Coupa platforms. This role requires exceptional stakeholder management, process governance, and project execution skills while fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee end-to-end Accounts Payable operations ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 25–30 members, driving team performance, engagement, and development.
  • Act as a strategic partner to internal and external stakeholders across finance, procurement, business teams, and vendors.
  • Drive AP process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational excellence programs.
  • Ensure strong governance, controls, and adherence to company policies and compliance standards.
  • Manage escalations, issue resolution, and continuous process stabilization initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on finance transformation and system enhancement projects.
  • Support and lead AP-related projects including transition, migration, and implementation initiatives.
  • Participate in budgeting, planning, reporting, and operational reviews for AP functions.
  • Drive a strong culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, and customer-centricity within the team.

Mandatory Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in Accounts Payable / Finance Operations.
  • Strong leadership experience managing teams of 25–30 members.
  • Hands-on working knowledge of Concur and Coupa platforms is mandatory.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in project management and process transformation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and operational management capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in Coupa implementation projects will be highly preferred.
  • Experience in shared services / GCC / multinational environments preferred.
  • Exposure to AP automation, ERP integrations, and process optimization initiatives.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
