Role Summary:


The Analytics Support L3 role is responsible for deep technical investigation, diagnosis and remediation of complex issues impacting production analytics platforms and data pipelines. This role serves as the final escalation point for analytics related technical issues and works in close partnership with the Analytics Support Lead to restore system stability and reduce recurrence of high impact incidents.

This role requires strong analytics and data platform expertise combined with prior production support experience. Candidates whose background is limited to development or analytics engineering without exposure to live production support are not suitable for this role.


Key Responsibilities:


Deep Technical Incident Resolution

  • Provide L3 support for complex production issues impacting analytics platforms, data pipelines and reporting workflows across Production, UAT and Development.
  • Perform advanced root cause analysis across data ingestion, transformation logic, storage layers, dependencies and downstream consumers.
  • Design and implement corrective fixes, patches and workarounds to restore data integrity, availability and performance.
  • Validate and monitor fixes post deployment to ensure issues are fully resolved and do not regress.


Escalation Support & Collaboration

  • Act as the technical escalation point for L1 / L2 during high severity or complex analytics incidents.
  • Partner closely with the Analytics Support Lead during Sev 1 and Sev 2 incidents to support decision making and remediation strategy.
  • Provide clear technical assessments and risk evaluations to inform business facing decisions related to data availability and accuracy.
  • Ensure escalations are handled efficiently without unnecessary rework or delays.


Operational Readiness & Stability

  • Identify systemic weaknesses in analytics platforms and data pipelines that increase operational or data quality risk.
  • Improve observability, logging, alerting and diagnostics to reduce time to resolution for analytics issues.
  • Support production releases, data migrations and platform upgrades by validating readiness, rollback plans and post release stability.
  • Participate in planned maintenance and enhancements with a focus on operational impact and data reliability.


Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

  • Document root causes, fixes and known failure patterns to support L1 / L2 and reduce repeat incidents.
  • Contribute to runbooks, troubleshooting guides and operational documentation for analytics platforms.
  • Share knowledge proactively to raise the overall technical maturity of the analytics support function.


Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in post incident reviews and technical retrospectives.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce incident frequency, severity and recovery time related to analytics workloads.
  • Recommend architectural or design changes to improve long term stability, data quality and supportability.


Required Experience:


Mandatory

  • Strong hands on experience (4+ years) supporting analytics platforms or data pipelines in an L3 or senior support role.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex data and analytics issues under production pressure.
  • Experience working in SLA driven support environments.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical and data quality issues clearly to non technical stakeholders.


Strongly Preferred

  • Experience supporting enterprise analytics platforms or data engineering pipelines in production.
  • Strong understanding of data ingestion, transformation, orchestration and monitoring patterns.
  • Experience supporting cloud based data platforms and distributed systems.



Technical Requirements

  • Strong hands on expertise supporting Dataiku in production environments, including job execution, scenario failures, plugin behavior and platform stability.
  • Strong hands on expertise supporting analytics platforms and data pipelines in production.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL including complex queries used for validation, investigation and remediation.
  • Experience supporting data ingestion, transformation, orchestration and storage layers.
  • Experience diagnosing data quality, latency and availability issues under production pressure.
  • Familiarity with Python as used in analytics pipelines, Dataiku recipes or orchestration logic.
  • Experience implementing production safe fixes to analytics workflows and downstream consumers.
  • Strong familiarity with monitoring, alerting and data validation techniques.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based data platforms and distributed data systems..
