Responsibilities

  • Conduct one-on-one academic counseling sessions with students to understand their goals and challenges.
  • Provide guidance on course selection, academic planning, and career pathways.
  • Assist students in developing study skills, time management techniques, and exam preparation strategies.
  • Monitor students' academic progress and intervene when needed to address any issues.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student success initiatives.
  • Organize workshops and seminars on academic topics to enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Stay updated on educational trends and best practices in academic counseling.
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions and counseling sessions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy and understanding towards students' academic challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of academic advising principles and practices.
  • Experience in student counseling or advising is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and educational software.
