Job Description
The HR Trainee – Onboarding & Training & Development will support the HR team in executing smooth employee onboarding, coordinating training programs, maintaining training records, and assisting in learning & development initiatives. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or MBA (HR) students looking to gain hands-on HR experience.
Key Responsibilities
The group has also ventured into the South African and Sri-Lankan markets with its basket of education services. Today, MBD Group has its presence in 3 continents, 30 countries, and 5000 cities, and publishes 50 million books a year and around 30 million notebooks. The group has a large number of employees and a wide network of distributors and booksellers across the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Onboarding:
- Assist in the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires.
- Prepare and manage joining formalities, documentation, and employee files.
- Coordinate induction programs and orientation sessions.
- Communicate onboarding schedules and ensure readiness of systems, ID cards, and access.
- Support background verification and compliance documentation.
- Training & Development:
- Assist in planning and coordinating internal and external training programs.
- Maintain training calendars, attendance records, and feedback forms.
- Support training need identification and competency development initiatives.
- Assist in evaluating training effectiveness and preparing reports.
- Coordinate with trainers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- HR Operations Support:
- Maintain HR MIS, training dashboards, and employee records.
- Support HR policies, SOPs, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Assist in audits and HR compliance documentation related to training.
- Handle employee queries related to onboarding and training.
- Basic understanding of HR processes and labor laws
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and coordination abilities
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Willingness to learn and ability to multitask
- Educational Qualification
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources (pursuing or completed)
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
