Role Description The Academic Counsellor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Academic Counsellor will guide students in making informed decisions about their academic pathways, including course selections, exam preparation plans, and skill-building opportunities. Responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, assessing student interests and strengths, and providing structured academic and career guidance. The role involves maintaining accurate student records, following up on student progress, and coordinating with faculty or training teams to align academic plans with institutional offerings. The Academic Counsellor will also support information sessions, respond to student and parent queries, and contribute to improving counselling processes and materials.

Qualifications

• Strong student-facing skills, including Student Counseling and Academic Advising, with the ability to support diverse learner needs.
• Career-focused guidance capabilities, including Career Counseling and understanding of current education and job market trends.
• Excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and active listening.
• Educational background in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in academic counseling, student support, or education services preferred.
• Ability to build trust, handle sensitive information with confidentiality, and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple student cases and follow-ups efficiently.
• Comfort using basic computer applications and student information systems or CRMs.
