VP of Product
Actively Reviewing the ApplicationsX4 Life Sciences
Job Description
VP of Product
Location: United States (Remote)
Industry: Digital Health
About the Opportunity
We’re partnered with a fast‑growing digital health organisation that is entering its next major phase of product evolution. They are seeking a hands‑on VP of Product, someone who has grown through the ranks of product management, knows how to build products end‑to‑end, and thrives in a scaling environment.
This role is ideal for someone who has repeatedly taken products from concept → launch → iteration → scale. The company wants a doer, not just an orchestrator. Someone who can dive into user problems, shape product direction, and guide PMs while remaining closely connected to the work.
What You Will Lead
Product Leadership
- Own the full product lifecycle, from customer discovery and early concepting through launch, iteration, and scale.
- Shape the UX vision and define what exceptional customer and clinician experiences should look like.
- Build product processes, prioritisation frameworks, and lean delivery practices suited for a scaling environment.
- Translate customer needs into product requirements, user stories, and clear problem statements.
Execution & Delivery
- Drive hands‑on product development alongside engineering, design, and clinical partners.
- Ensure product releases are aligned with business goals and deliver measurable value.
- Guide the PDLC end‑to‑end, ensuring quality requirements, product marketing readiness, and successful adoption.
- Move quickly: turn ideas into prototypes, prototypes into features, and features into products.
Team & Organisational Leadership
- Lead and mentor a growing group of Product Managers.
- Set clear expectations, coach through product thinking, and raise the bar on execution.
- Work closely with commercial, clinical, operations, and leadership teams to ensure alignment.
- Bring strong organisational instincts suited to mid‑size, fast‑moving companies.
What We’re Looking For (Ideal Profile)
- Experience as a Senior Product Manager earlier in your career, followed by progression into Head of Product / Director / VP Product.
- Someone who has built and shipped digital health or health‑tech products.
- Some technical exposure, comfortable partnering with engineering, understanding system implications, and making informed product trade‑offs.
- Strong hands‑on experience owning the entire product lifecycle, from inception to launch, including multiple full product cycles.
- Ability to manage, develop, and mentor multiple Product Managers.
- A product‑first leader with enough technical understanding to work effectively with engineering, but whose core strength is product management, not engineering.
- Experience driving PDLC, guiding product marketing needs, and ensuring post‑launch product success.
- Ability to take an idea, shape a clear product narrative, and translate it into actionable requirements.
- A hands‑on, get‑things‑done operator, not a purely strategic or top‑level overseer.
- Experience working in mid‑size or scaling organisations.
Why This Role Matters
This VP Product will directly influence:
- The next generation of digital health product experiences
- How the platform evolves as the organisation scales
- The overall standards for product development and delivery
- The long‑term product culture and team direction
- Your work will impact patients, clinicians, and providers, and help shape tech‑enabled healthcare at scale.
