Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in gaming industry and interest in learning about all the people who play games.
• Knowledge of working on mobile (Android) and other device form factors.

We are seeking a UX Designer to revolutionize the Google Play Store experience. In this role, you will shape the future of game discovery and influence our core business. Collaborating with product and engineering teams, you will craft engaging experiences for gamers worldwide.

Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally and cross-team to support multidimensional pieces of work across games experiences.
• Deliver for craft and excellence through the use of user-centered principles, methods, and tools—paying attention to the design systems and patterns across the games product landscape.
• Prioritize work while managing stakeholder relationships and expectations across a range of work streams on a range of trajectories and velocities.
• Contribute to an environment where every team member feels supported and comfortable being their authentic self.
