Sr. Developer I - Supply Chain Management (Java)

Summary

We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled Java Full Stack Developer to join our global IT development and operations team. In this role, you will design, develop, enhance, and support our enterprise applications platform that power core business capabilities across the organization. You will contribute to scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise platforms spanning customer engagement, digital content ecosystems, manufacturing operations, production planning, plant maintenance, and quality management domains. The role involves troubleshooting complex issues, delivering strategic enhancements, and continuously modernizing the enterprise application landscape.

Working closely with global IT and business stakeholders, you will architect and build integrated enterprise solutions that drive operational excellence, improve process efficiency, and enable business growth across multiple functions and regions.

Your expertise in Java/J2EE and front end development will help ensure delivery of robust, scalable, and high-performing business applications that meets Momentive’s global needs and quality standards.

Responsibilities Include

Designs and develops primarily Internet/Web pages and applications such as e-commerce and content driven Web sites
Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications; lead development activities; build and maintain RESTful APIs
Ensures that applications are compatible across multiple computing platforms and browsers
Contribute in end-to-end development activities including backend and frontend.
Optimize system performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
Work with SQL and RDBMS databases such as MSSQL, MYSQL
Review code and enforce best practices, coding standards, and design principles.
Collaborate with multi-geo teams, architects, product owners, and stakeholders for solution design.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills
Follow agile IT processes, collaborating closely with the business to swiftly

Qualifications

The following are required for the role

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business, Math, Engineering, or a related field
Overall, 8-12 years of experience in both Java and front-end technical development, with expertise in microservices architecture
Hands-on technical skills of the technology stack including Java, JSP, Springboot, SQL/RDBMS, UI technologies, JS, CSS, HTML and Tomcat server
Proficiency in UI Tech - HTML, JS, CSS, jQuery, Bootstrap is required
Excellent core Java and J2EE skills coupled with expertise in Object Oriented design and knowledge of design patterns, WebServices/APIS (REST/SOAP)
Ability to comprehend business processes and develop technical solutions
Result-driven with a positive attitude - adaptable, flexible, and resourceful.
Hands-on experience of min 3-5 java application development as Java Full Stack, deployment, hosting and application design
Expertise in developing web and mobile responsive applications, optimizing performance, and configuring servers and threads
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Any Certification in Java application development, Database or front-end technologies is preferred
Experience working in a global organization with diverse technologies
Knowledge of any of the ERP systems modules
