The Role

The Strategy and Operations Manager will propose, organize, and drive priority projects that will lead to Lazada’s success. It is a complex stakeholder management role that requires decision-making, ownership, and grit.


Key Roles & Responsibilities

Insights and steering

  • Provide forecasts, insights, and recommendations for Lazada’s KPIs, key battles, and initiatives
  • Conduct competitive analyses and benchmarks
  • Design and maintain reports integral for daily business operations
  • Critique current operating procedures and provide change recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiency
  • Perform post-mortem analyses on Lazada’s projects, initiatives, and executions


Strategy, Planning, and Project Management

  • Scope, plan, and execute project plans independently
  • Develop and maintain operating procedures, contingencies, and process improvements
  • Understand Lazada’s business and operations holistically. Pay attention to the rationale, value, design, and impact of each execution through research writing, data analyses, and solution proposals
  • Drive initiatives to success – be hands-on, detail-oriented, entrepreneurial, and analytical with each engagement
  • Act as the bridge between departments, functions, and teams to help achieve Lazada’s business objectives.


Business deployment

  • Be prepared to be deployed in different segments of the business to drive initiatives end-to-end
  • Demonstrate agility, resiliency, and adaptability to tackle new, challenging, and critical assignments


Being a thought partner, and a collaborator

  • Be a strong collaborator with local and regional teammates and stakeholders
  • Work as a thought partner with other teams to engage on areas of opportunities



Qualifications & Skills

  • At least 5 years working experience in strategy, consulting, project management, or other related career tracks
  • 4-year degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field of study
  • Creative, analytical, and driven as a collaborator and as a leader
  • Have a strong affinity towards nation building and contributing value
  • Have high attention to detail and critical of processes
  • Eager to work in a fast-paced environment, and can handle pressure effectively
  • Is a thought partner to colleagues and peers
