Responsibilities

• Handle sourcing of all material for meeting production and service needs in line with Arx’s procurement policies.
• Source, evaluate and manage vendors’ pricing, rate contracts, payment terms, delivery and quality control.
• Maintain and update sourcing records and other documentation as required for the purchase function.
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure effective support
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
• Liaison between Engineering, Production and Service for implementing Engineering Change Management.
• Coordinate with Finance for payment, account reconciliation, customs duties, etc.
• Ensure balanced buying, in keeping with requirements from Production and Service.
• Co-ordinate dispatch and logistics (Customs clearance, Imports), wherever required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Familiar with quality measurement and quality approval plans.
• Framing of specs for prototyping orders in consultation with Engineering.
• Understanding of commercial and incoterms.
• Ability to learn fast and gather strong product knowledge and expertise
• An organized and result-driven approach to work
• Team player who proactively contributes to creating a good team atmosphere
• Ability to multi-task and work independently
• Excellent communication skills (Both verbal and written) in English.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
