About This Opportunity

Job Title: Lead QA Engineer

Location: Bengaluru

Job Description:

We are looking for a Lead QA Engineer to lead and champion the Quality Engineering (QE) Test Automation strategy across all digital applications and services at 7-Eleven. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to test automation team, fostering excellence and scalability in automation solutions and ensuring adherence to best coding practices. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of digital products and features to deliver high-quality, integrated testing solutions that support business objectives

Responsibilities:

• Define and implement a comprehensive test strategy covering functional, regression, integration, API, and performance testing.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Java-based tools (Selenium, Selenide, Appium, TestNG/JUnit, Cucumber, RestAssured, Karate).
• Lead mobile automation initiatives with Appium for both iOS and Android platforms.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) to ensure continuous quality validation.
• Establish and maintain a robust test data strategy to support multi-environment testing.
• Conduct advanced performance benchmarking using JMeter, Gatling, k6 and provide actionable insights.
• Drive defect triage, root cause analysis, and resolution tracking.
• Utilize test management tools such as Zephyr, TestRail, or similar for planning and reporting.
• Mentor QA engineers, set up frameworks, and enforce best practices across teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure release readiness and high-quality delivery.

Skills Required (Must-Have):

• 11-13 years of experience in QA and test automation with strong expertise in Selenium with Java.
• Proven hands-on experience in Appium automation for iOS and Android applications.
• Solid expertise in API automation using RestAssured.
• Strong background in performance testing and benchmarking.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and collaboration skills.
• Deep understanding of QA methodologies, processes, and tools.
• BrowserStack experience preferred.
