Job title: Sr Workday Adaptive Analyst

Location: Gurugram

Type: FTE


Job Profile Summary

The Sr Workday Adaptive Analyst supports the design, delivery, and ongoing optimization of Workday Adaptive Planning across budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analytics. This role partners Finance and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable planning models, integrations, and reporting solutions while supporting governance, controls, and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

• Support the full Workday Adaptive Planning lifecycle, including discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support.

• Serve as a key techno-functional subject matter expert for Workday Adaptive Planning, including Models, Sheets, Versions, Dimensions, Reports, Dashboards, and Security.

• Build and maintain scalable planning solutions for multi-entity, multi-currency, workforce planning, capex, revenue, expense, allocations, and scenario modeling.

• Contribute to and maintain standards for model architecture, naming conventions, calculation logic, documentation, and change control.

• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and management reporting to enable self-service insights for business stakeholders.

• Partner with FP&A and business teams to streamline planning cycles and reduce manual effort through automation and standardization.

• Support data governance and data management activities, including master data, hierarchies, chart of accounts mapping, dimensionality, data quality, and reconciliations to source systems.

• Support and maintain integrations between Workday Adaptive Planning and Workday platforms, including automation, monitoring, and error handling.

• Provide user support and troubleshooting, including triage, root cause analysis, issue resolution, and communication, to ensure system stability and a strong user experience.

• Assist with system enhancements, production support, release readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives.


Required Qualifications

• 7+ years in Workday ecosystem with 2+ years hands-on Workday Adaptive Planning experience (implementation + support).

• Hands-on experience contributing to at least one full Workday Adaptive Planning implementation or major platform expansion.

• Strong FP&A domain knowledge, including budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, headcount planning, allocations, and variance analysis.

• Experience building and supporting multi-dimensional planning models across entities, cost centers, accounts, products, projects, and similar dimensions.

• Experience with performance optimization, data validation, and reconciliation processes.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into system solutions and partner effectively with Finance and technical teams.

• Strong core Finance knowledge, including General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets, Expenses, Chart of Accounts, cost center structures, financial statements, month-end close, intercompany, and financial data reconciliation.

• Familiarity with Consolidations, including entity structures, eliminations, roll-forwards, and financial reporting dependencies across multi-entity environments.


Preferred Qualifications

• Workday Adaptive Planning certifications (Implementation/Admin).

• Experience in integrating Adaptive with Workday Financials and/or HCM.

• Familiarity with ETL, APIs, or scheduled file-based integrations.

• Experience in global/multi-country organizations, multi-currency planning, and shared services operating models.

• Freight forwarding/logistics industry experience.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
