Job Description
The Oracle Banking Trade Finance (OBTF) Business / System Analyst is a specialized technofunctional role based in India, requiring 6–8 years of experience to bridge the gap between complex trade operations and system architecture. The core of this position involves high-level functional expertise in Trade Finance products—such as Letters of Credit (LCs), Guarantees, Collections, and Trade Loans—combined with the technical ability to perform direct system configurations. This includes defining product parameters, charges, advice formats, and event triggers within the OBTF platform. The analyst acts as a primary liaison, translating business requirements into detailed Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) while ensuring that all configurations align with SWIFT (MT7XX) messaging standards and internal bank accounting entries.
In addition to system setup, the role carries significant responsibility for the entire project lifecycle, from initial requirement gathering to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-implementation support. The successful candidate must demonstrate a deep understanding of End of Day (EOD) and Beginning of Day (BOD) processes, as well as the ability to perform root-cause analysis for production incidents. Beyond technical tasks, the analyst is expected to maintain rigorous documentation and governance standards, ensuring that all system changes are audit-ready. While the focus is on OBTF, familiarity with broader Oracle modules like OBDX (Digital Experience) or OBPM (Payments) is highly valued, as these integrations are vital for modern, seamless trade processing workflows.
