Job Description :

We are looking for a Cloud & SQL DBA with strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL to support database administration, performance optimization, and cloud-based database solutions. The candidate will work closely with client teams and follow Agile/Scrum practices.

Technical skills

• Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Database / Managed Instance
• SQL Server installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and migrations(PaaS to IaaS)
• Strong in query optimization, execution plans, indexing, and performance tuning
• Hands-on with DMVs, Query Store, and performance monitoring tools
• Backup and recovery strategies including full, differential, log backups, and point-in-time restore
• Experience with Azure backup features like geo-restore and long-term retention (LTR)
• High availability and disaster recovery: Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, log shipping, geo-replication
• Database security: users, roles, permissions, TDE, Always Encrypted, auditing, data masking
• Monitoring and troubleshooting using SQL Profiler, Extended Events, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics
• Strong T-SQL scripting skills and automation using PowerShell.
• Experience with database migration tools like Azure DMS, BACPAC, and backup/restore

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / IT / Related field (preferred)
• 4+ years of relevant experience in SQL / Cloud DBA roles
• Azure / Cloud certifications are an added advantage.
