Social Media & Community Intern (Cinephile)
Cineswipe
Job Description
About Cineswipe
Cineswipe is a decision-first movie & TV discovery platform built to reduce choice overload and help people decide what to watch next — without endless scrolling.
We believe recommendations should feel clear, trustworthy, and human-curated, not algorithmically overwhelming.
Our social platforms are not just marketing channels.
They are extensions of the product — places where movie lovers discover, debate, and decide what to watch next.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Social Media & Community Intern who genuinely loves cinema and understands how movie fans talk online.
This role goes beyond scheduling posts.
You’ll help turn Cineswipe’s content into conversations, manage our presence across Instagram, X (Twitter), and Discord, and help build a community of people who care deeply about film.
You will work closely with design and content to publish posts, spark discussions, and keep the community active.

Nice to Have
- Experience managing Discord communities
- Familiarity with platforms like Letterboxd

What We’re Looking For
You’re a good fit if:
- You naturally start movie discussions with friends
- You enjoy debating films online
- You understand how communities grow through conversation
- You care about taste and recommendations, not just virality
What We Don’t Want
Accounts that only post but never engage
Low-effort comments or generic replies
People who don’t actually watch movies
Trend chasing without understanding film culture
What You’ll Learn (For Real)
How to grow film-focused communities
How social platforms shape movie discussions
How to turn content into conversation
How taste-based media brands build loyal audiences
What We Offer
