Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Service Technician/Road Tester (Passenger Car Experience) based in Chennai. The role involves performing routine maintenance and repair on passenger cars, conducting detailed road tests to identify performance issues, and verifying that repairs meet safety and quality standards. The Service Technician/Road Tester will diagnose mechanical and electrical problems, collaborate with workshop teams to implement effective solutions, and document all service and testing activities accurately. Daily responsibilities include interacting with customers to understand vehicle concerns, providing clear feedback on findings, and ensuring vehicles are returned in optimal condition. The role requires adherence to manufacturer guidelines, workshop processes, and safety protocols while maintaining high service efficiency.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Maintenance & Repair and Maintenance skills for passenger cars.
• Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance issues.
• Candidates should possess Field Service skills, including on-road vehicle testing and evaluation.
• Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to communicate clearly and professionally with vehicle owners.
• Diploma/ITI in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification in automotive service.
• Previous experience as an automotive service technician or road tester, preferably with passenger car brands.
• Knowledge of modern diagnostic tools, service manuals, and manufacturer service procedures.
• Valid driving license with a clean driving record and confidence in testing a range of passenger vehicles.
• Ability to work in a structured workshop environment, follow safety standards, and manage time effectively.
