Role Description The Senior Steward (Pan Asian Restaurant) is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru at Aldovia Resort & Convention. This role is responsible for overseeing the stewarding operations in the Pan Asian restaurant, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and proper maintenance of kitchen equipment, utensils, and service areas. The Senior Steward coordinates dishwashing, waste management, and inventory of cleaning supplies while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. The role includes supervising and training stewarding team members, supporting the culinary and service teams during service periods, and assisting with setup and breakdown for daily operations and special events. The Senior Steward collaborates with restaurant leadership to maintain high standards of efficiency and guest-focused service.
Qualifications

The Senior Steward coordinates dishwashing, waste management, and inventory of cleaning supplies while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. The role includes supervising and training stewarding team members, supporting the culinary and service teams during service periods, and assisting with setup and breakdown for daily operations and special events. The Senior Steward collaborates with restaurant leadership to maintain high standards of efficiency and guest-focused service.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills to support guest-focused restaurant operations and effective team coordination.
- Solid knowledge of food & beverage and food service practices, including hygiene, safety, and basic kitchen operations.
- Experience in training and guiding stewarding or support staff to uphold standards and improve performance.
- Prior experience in stewarding or back-of-house roles within a high-volume restaurant or hotel; Pan Asian or specialty dining experience is an advantage.
- Understanding of food safety regulations, sanitation procedures, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Diploma or certification in hotel management, hospitality, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
