Senior Merchandiser

Location: Okhla Phase 1

Là Fuori is a contemporary luxury fashion brand known for its intricately embellished garments, modern silhouettes, and strong design sensibility. We specialize in handcrafted detailing, premium fabrics, and statement pieces that reflect global aesthetics with Indian craftsmanship.

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Merchandiser with deep expertise in hand and machine embellishments to manage end-to-end product development and production. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of embroidery, surface techniques, vendor coordination, and execution excellence in high-fashion garments.

• Work closely with the design team to interpret and execute embellishment concepts.
• Develop samples with accurate costing, timelines, and technical feasibility.
• Ensure correct translation of design sketches into final embellished garments.
• Maintain sampling calendars and ensure timely deliveries.

• Strong understanding of techniques such as:
• Hand embroidery (zardozi, aari, resham, cutdana, sequins, beadwork)
• Machine embroidery (multi-head, adda work integration)
• Surface ornamentation (appliqué, patchwork, laser-cut + embellishment)
• Ability to troubleshoot design and execution challenges in embellishments.
• Knowledge of fabric behavior under heavy embellishment.

• Coordinate with embroidery units, karigars, and external vendors.
• Source and develop new vendors for specialized techniques.
• Ensure quality, consistency, and timely execution from all partners.
• Negotiate costing and maintain vendor relationships.

• Create and monitor Time & Action (T&A) plans.
• Oversee bulk production to ensure alignment with approved samples.
• Track order status, manage delays, and proactively resolve issues.
• Coordinate with internal teams (design, sampling, QC, logistics).

• Ensure high-quality finishing and consistency in embellishment work.
• Conduct inline and final inspections.
• Address defects related to embroidery, finishing, or garment structure.

• Prepare detailed costing sheets, especially for embellishment-heavy styles.
• Optimize cost without compromising design integrity.
• Track material consumption (threads, beads, sequins, etc.).

• Maintain records of designs, embellishment swatches, and vendor details.
• Ensure all tech packs and production files are updated and accurate.
• Provide regular updates on sampling and production status.

• 5–8+ years of experience in fashion merchandising, with strong focus on embellished garments.
• Prior experience in luxury / occasion wear / couture preferred.
• Deep technical knowledge of embroidery and surface development.
• Strong vendor network (embroidery clusters preferred).
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in Excel and production tracking tools.

• Understanding of export and domestic production cycles.
• Knowledge of fabric sourcing and trims related to embellishments.
• Strong eye for detail, finishing, and luxury quality standards.
