Role Description

The Senior Manager – Transport Operations (Supply Chain) will oversee the daily transportation and logistics operations, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with business goals. This full-time on-site role, based in Chennai, involves supervising teams, optimizing delivery processes, maintaining compliance, ensuring customer satisfaction, and executing strategies to streamline logistics operations. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and continuously improving operational performance will also be key components of this role. This role is for a leader who can:

✔ Own end-to-end transport operations (first mile, middle mile & last mile)

✔ Drive SLA adherence, cost optimization & fleet productivity

✔ Manage vendors, fleet partners & large operational teams

✔ Build scalable transport processes across hubs & regions

✔ Use data to improve turnaround time, utilization & service quality

Qualifications

• 0–15 years of experience in Transport / Logistics / Supply Chain operations
• Strong exposure to fleet management, line haul & route optimization
• Proven leadership in high-volume, time-critical environments
• Strong analytical, vendor negotiation & stakeholder skills
• Experience in transportation management, supply chain operations, and logistics strategy
• Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills
• Proficiency in utilizing technology and data-driven tools for operational efficiency
• Problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical thinking capabilities
• Knowledge of compliance regulations related to logistics and transportation
• Ability to manage budgets and optimize operational costs effectively
• Prior experience in international and domestic transport operations is an advantage
• A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field
