Hiring: Sr. Health & Safety Engineer – MEP (Metro Project)

Location: Chennai (On-site)

Project: Metro Rail – 9 Elevated Stations

Employment Type: Full-time.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Program Leadership:

Develop and implement site-specific OHS&E plans for MEP works (electrical safety, working at heights, etc.)

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with statutory norms, ISO standards, and client (CMRL) safety requirements

Emergency Management:

Maintain 24/7 emergency response readiness and manage site control room coordination

Risk Assessment:

Conduct hazard identification and risk analysis for HVAC, firefighting, and electrification activities

Team Leadership:

Lead a team of OHS Engineers and site staff to enforce safety protocols and discipline

 Qualifications

Education:

B.E. (Engineering) + NEBOSH Certification (Mandatory)

Experience:

Minimum 15+ years total experience

At least 10+ years in OHS&E for large-scale construction / E&M projects

Experience in Metro / Infrastructure projects preferred

 Key Skills

Strong expertise in HVAC, firefighting & high-voltage safety systems

Excellent decision-making during critical incidents

Good communication skills for reports, audits, and coordination

Salary: ₹80,000/month (Negotiable based on experience)
