Role Description The Safety Engineer role at ZETWERK is a contract, on-site position based in Bagalkot. This role involves planning, implementing, and monitoring safety procedures across manufacturing and construction activities to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The Safety Engineer will conduct regular inspections, hazard assessments, and risk analyses, and will recommend corrective actions to reduce incidents and unsafe conditions. Daily responsibilities include coordinating safety drills, delivering safety and occupational health training, maintaining safety records and reports, and collaborating with operations, HR, and security teams to promote a strong safety culture. The role also requires investigating incidents, supporting root-cause analysis, and driving continuous improvement in workplace safety practices.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Safety Engineering and Construction Safety, including risk assessment, incident prevention, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Occupational Health, including knowledge of workplace hygiene, ergonomics, and health-related risk mitigation.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Security related to industrial environments, including coordination with security teams and integration of safety and security protocols.
  • Candidates should possess Training skills, with the ability to design and deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and refresher programs for diverse teams.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Safety Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field; certifications in workplace safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) are beneficial.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, construction, or heavy industrial environments, with familiarity in local regulatory requirements and safety standards.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and analytical skills, with the ability to influence teams and foster a proactive safety culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on-site in cross-functional teams, manage multiple safety initiatives, and respond effectively to emergencies.
