Job Description

Job Title: Deputy Manager – Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

Location: Pan India

Salary: -55000-60000 CTC

Job Summary

The Deputy Manager – HSE is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving safety, health, and environmental policies across the organization. The role ensures compliance with statutory regulations, promotes a safe working culture, and minimizes workplace risks in industrial/engineering operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and maintain Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety audits
- Monitor workplace conditions to ensure adherence to safety standards
- Lead incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
- Organize and conduct safety training programs and awareness campaigns
- Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Coordinate with project/site teams to enforce safety protocols
- Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure statutory compliance
- Implement emergency preparedness and response plans
- Drive continuous improvement in SHE performance metrics

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B. Tech) in Mechanical / Civil/ Electrical Engineering.
- Additional certifications (preferred) NEBOSH / IOSH Diploma in Industrial Safety ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 certifications.

Experience

- 5–8 years of relevant experience in Safety, Health & Environment.
- Experience in industries such as construction or engineering projects preferred.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards
- Excellent risk assessment and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to conduct audits and training sessions
- Familiarity with incident reporting systems and safety tools
- Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools
