Job Title: Deputy Manager – Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

Location: Saharanpur ,UP.

Salary: -55000-60000 CTC

Job Summary

The Deputy Manager – HSE is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving safety, health, and environmental policies across the organization. The role ensures compliance with statutory regulations, promotes a safe working culture, and minimizes workplace risks in industrial/engineering operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations
  • Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety audits
  • Monitor workplace conditions to ensure adherence to safety standards
  • Lead incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
  • Organize and conduct safety training programs and awareness campaigns
  • Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
  • Coordinate with project/site teams to enforce safety protocols
  • Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure statutory compliance
  • Implement emergency preparedness and response plans
  • Drive continuous improvement in SHE performance metrics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B. Tech) in Mechanical / Civil/ Electrical Engineering.
  • Additional certifications (preferred) NEBOSH / IOSH Diploma in Industrial Safety ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 certifications.

Experience

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in Safety, Health & Environment.
  • Experience in industries such as construction or engineering projects preferred.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards
  • Excellent risk assessment and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to conduct audits and training sessions
  • Familiarity with incident reporting systems and safety tools
  • Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools
