About the Position:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Finance Specialist primarily responsible for supporting accounting, statutory, tax, and internal compliance activities for the India finance team. The role involves maintaining accurate records, tracking filing timelines, assisting in internal control checks, and ensuring the company remains compliant with Indian financial laws and internal policies.

The position will be based out of our Noida office with all days’ work from office.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist in accounting operations, month end close and preparation of reconciliation and reports.
Support preparation and filing of GST returns, maintaining clean documentation, and reconciliation.
Support filling of GST refunds and work on state or central incentives.
Perform other administrative task as assigned.
Assist in under Companies Act, RBI filings, TDS, and Income Tax, intercompany documentation, and other routine submissions.
Maintain compliance tracker and ensure timely completion of all filings and audits.
Coordinate with external consultants for tax and statutory matters.
Assist in maintaining and testing Internal Financial Controls (IFC) documentation.
Support internal and statutory auditors with schedules, reconciliations, and explanations.
Help implement compliance process improvements and support risk assessment activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting (B.Com, M.Com, or equivalent).
At least 4 years of professional experience in similar role
Proficiency in Excel, financial systems such as NetSuite
Good understanding of accounting and regulatory basics.
Good communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to work flexibly across time zones and manage shifting priorities.
Excellent active listening, coordination, communication, and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with global accounting standards (IGAAP / US GAAP)
Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience in payroll and accounting.
Must have prior experience of working with payroll systems including third party systems.
Must have Microsoft Excel working knowledge.
Familiarity and experience with finance and reporting systems.
Ability to foresee risks, be proactive and predictive.
Excellent active listening, coordination, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to build impactful relationship with both domestic and overseas team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred experience with NetSuite accounting system
