Job Description: Senior Architect (5+ Years Experience)

Position: Senior Architect

Experience: Minimum 5 years

Location: Chennai

Key Responsibilities

Design & Planning

Lead architectural and interior design projects from concept to detailed design.
Prepare design presentations, concept drawings, layouts, and mood boards and renders.
Translate client briefs into functional, elegant, and buildable solutions.
Coordinate with structural, electrical, plumbing, and other consultants.

Technical & Documentation

Produce detailed working drawings, GFCs, BOQs, and specifications.
Ensure drawings are accurate, well-coordinated, and execution-ready.
Review shop drawings and coordinate with furniture and joinery teams.

Client & Project Management

Act as the primary design point of contact for assigned clients.
Conduct client meetings, design reviews, and site walkthroughs.
Manage timelines, design deliverables, and approvals.
Handle design changes with clarity and cost/time awareness.

Site & Execution

Conduct regular site visits to ensure design intent is executed correctly.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and site teams.
Resolve site-level design and detailing challenges proactively.

Team Collaboration

Guide and review work produced by junior architects and designers.
Collaborate closely with furniture factory and execution teams.
Contribute to internal design standards and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in architecture/interior design.
Strong design thinking with a refined aesthetic sensibility.
Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD (mandatory).
Working knowledge of SketchUp, Lumion/Enscape, or similar tools preferred.
Solid understanding of materials, finishes, and construction techniques.
Experience handling high-end residential or bespoke interior projects.
Strong communication skills—verbal, written, and visual.
Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team.
