SAP BusinessObjects (SAP BOBJ) Project Manager / Solution Architect / Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced SAP BusinessObjects (SAP BOBJ) Project Manager / Solution Architect / Team Lead with 12+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in SAP BusinessObjects, proven leadership capabilities, and experience managing end-to-end BI transformation projects. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, technical teams, and senior leadership to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

• Lead end-to-end SAP BusinessObjects implementation, migration, upgrade, and support projects.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Drive Agile and Waterfall project execution methodologies as required.
• Prepare project plans, status reports, risk registers, and executive presentations.

Solution Architecture

• Design scalable SAP BusinessObjects architecture aligned with enterprise BI strategy.
• Define solution blueprints, technical standards, and governance frameworks.
• Lead architecture decisions for SAP BOBJ platform upgrades, migrations, and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Ensure high availability, security, performance optimization, and disaster recovery planning.
• Recommend best practices for report optimization, universe design, and semantic layer architecture.

Technical Leadership

• Lead and mentor SAP BOBJ developers, administrators, and support teams.
• Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and technical quality assessments.
• Drive technical troubleshooting for complex production issues.
• Establish development standards and deployment processes.

SAP BusinessObjects Expertise

• Design and develop Universes (UNX/UNV).
• Oversee development of Web Intelligence (WebI), Crystal Reports, Analysis for Office, and Dashboards.
• Manage SAP BusinessObjects Central Management Server (CMS), Promotion Management, and security.
• Perform performance tuning of reports, universes, and BI infrastructure.
• Support migration between SAP BOBJ versions and platform modernization.

Stakeholder Management

• Gather and analyze business requirements.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Present architecture recommendations to business and IT leadership.
• Collaborate with SAP functional teams, database teams, infrastructure, and enterprise architects.

Governance & Quality

• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards.
• Define BI governance, security, naming conventions, and documentation standards.
• Lead testing strategy including SIT, UAT, and production deployment.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 12+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and SAP BusinessObjects.
• 5+ years of experience leading enterprise BI projects.
• Strong experience in SAP BOBJ architecture and solution design.
• Experience working with large global enterprise environments.
• Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
