Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The following essential duties and responsibilities are representative of the work performed in this role. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Technology Leadership – Critical Power & Energy Verticals
  • Provide technology leadership for the Critical Power and Energy & Distributed Resources verticals, owning the overall technology relationship, demand intake, prioritization, and delivery accountability across all systems supporting UPS, Electrical, EV, Solar, ESS, and Wind operations.
  • Partner with the GMs of Critical Power and Energy & Distributed Resources to define the technology vision, multi-year roadmap, and investment priorities aligned to asset performance, uptime, revenue growth, cost-to-serve, safety, and customer experience outcomes.
  • Own demand intake, triage, business case development, and prioritization across GIS/geospatial, BI/analytics, Salesforce/Field Service, integrations, automation, and adjacent enterprise platforms based on business value, feasibility, risk, readiness, and strategic fit.
  • Translate vertical priorities into solution opportunities, executive trade-offs, roadmap direction, and investment alignment; provide a consistent technology voice back to both verticals.
  • Define, publish, and manage business-facing KPIs and SLAs (asset uptime, response/resolution times, dispatch efficiency, first-time-fix, revenue per asset, invoice accuracy) in partnership with vertical leadership and operations teams.
  • Leverage BI & Analytics (Power BI, Fabric, Tableau, Snowflake, or equivalent) to design and deliver executive dashboards, KPI/SLA scorecards, and decision-support experiences — partnering with the enterprise BI platform and data teams to ensure trusted, single-source-of-truth reporting for both verticals.
  • Drive operational readiness and hypercare for new releases across field, dispatch, and back-office teams — with clear support models, runbooks, on-call coverage, monitoring, and observability in place before go-live.
  • Own stakeholder alignment, change enablement, adoption planning, communications, training readiness, and operational readiness so delivered solutions are embraced and sustained by field, dispatch, planning, and back-office teams.
  • Own value realization by tracking KPI performance, adoption metrics, productivity gains, revenue/margin impact, ROI realization, and lessons learned; report performance dashboards to vertical and technology leadership and lead continuous improvement cycles.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, compliance, and audit readiness across in-scope systems, and manage vendor/MSP performance against contracted SLAs.
  • Facilitate governance, prioritization reviews, executive reporting, escalation management, and decision forums to maintain transparency, accountability, and alignment across both vertical portfolios.
  • GIS & Geospatial Intelligence Capability Ownership
  • Own the GIS / Geospatial Intelligence capabilities and roadmap as a key enabler for asset-, site-, and field-centric operations across Critical Power and Energy verticals — spanning ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise/Online, ArcGIS Field Maps, Survey123, Dashboards, GeoAnalytics, and imagery services.
  • Partner with vertical leadership to identify geospatial use cases — site inventory, asset location intelligence, route optimization, service territory management, coverage/gap analysis, solar/wind site planning, EV charger siting, and outage/incident visualization.
  • Define enterprise geospatial data models, spatial reference standards, master data, and integration patterns with Salesforce Field Service, ERP, workforce, BI, and asset systems to create a single source of truth for asset location and site context.
  • Own the GIS capability roadmap and release priorities by balancing business value, user impact, feasibility, dependencies, data readiness, governance, and delivery capacity.
  • Accountable for GIS delivery by coordinating requirements, spatial data modeling, map/app design, UAT, go-live, adoption, and continuous refinement — ensuring geospatial insights are actionable, trusted, and embedded in field, planning, and BI workflows.
  • Drive geospatial data quality, governance, imagery/basemap strategy, coordinate accuracy, and lifecycle management in partnership with data engineering, architecture, and business owners.
  • Promote modern geospatial best practices — reusable feature services, mobile field data capture (Field Maps/Survey123), real-time location intelligence, spatial analytics, remote sensing, drone/imagery workflows, and embedded maps in operational systems and BI dashboards.
  • Ensure GIS platforms and pipelines meet reliability, availability, and SLA targets — including monitoring, incident response, release stability, and performance tuning of services and datasets.
  • Program Management
  • Own cross-functional program execution for Critical Power and Energy initiatives — implementations, migrations, integrations, analytics, GIS rollouts, and digital workflow programs — coordinating workstreams across business, product, data, integration, engineering, architecture, security, operations, and change management teams.
  • Coordinate stakeholders and delivery teams by clarifying roles, responsibilities, decision rights, ownership boundaries, communication cadence, and escalation paths to keep execution aligned and accountable.
  • Lead integrated planning across discovery, design, build, testing, UAT, deployment, training, rollout, and post-launch stabilization (hypercare), ensuring dependencies, constraints, resource needs, and sequencing are proactively managed.
  • Translate approved priorities into delivery plans, release milestones, sprint objectives, workstream plans, dependency maps, and measurable outcomes tied to business value.
  • Accountable for program execution by driving progress against scope, timeline, risks, issues, milestones, adoption readiness, and value realization commitments while removing blockers and facilitating timely decisions.
  • Drive program communications, stakeholder updates, change impact assessments, training plans, release communications, rollout playbooks, and adoption support.
  • Manage RAIDs, milestones, status reporting, executive dashboards, governance artifacts, steering committee materials, action logs, and decision records to maintain transparency, accountability, and execution discipline.
