Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Freight Forwarding Professional based in Bengaluru South. The role involves coordinating end-to-end freight forwarding operations, including booking cargo with shipping lines, managing documentation for exports and imports, and liaising with customs, transport partners, and internal teams. Responsibilities include tracking shipments, resolving operational issues, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements, and maintaining accurate records in logistics systems. The Freight Forwarding Professional will collaborate with clients to understand shipping needs, prepare quotations, monitor delivery timelines, and support warehousing and distribution activities when required. The role also includes contributing to process improvements, maintaining service quality standards, and supporting senior team members in daily operational planning.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of freight forwarding operations, international shipping procedures, and basic customs and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with logistics documentation (Bills of Lading, invoices, packing lists, shipping instructions) and cargo tracking systems.
- Effective communication and client service skills, with the ability to coordinate with shipping lines, transporters, customs agents, and internal stakeholders.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple shipments, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic logistics or ERP software; ability to work with data and maintain accurate records.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field; relevant experience in freight forwarding or logistics is highly preferred.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a focus on safety, quality, and compliance within the supply chain.
