Job Summary

We are hiring an individual-contributor Salesperson to drive specification-led adoption of our premium tiles among architects and interior designers. This is a hands-on sales role focused on direct engagement with design influencers and channel partners rather than people management.

  • Primary focus: Secure product approvals and specifications for commercial and residential projects by building strong relationships with premium architects and designers.
  • Key activities: Present products, manage approval pipelines, follow up on specifications, and support dealer/retail teams to convert opportunities.
  • Tools & process: Use CRM (Zoho or equivalent) for lead management, panel allocations, and reporting.
  • Outcome: Drive measurable sales growth and increased market share through specification-led selling.

Ideal profile: 4+ years in sales or business development with proven experience engaging architects/designers in the building materials or premium interiors space; strong technical understanding of product specifications; excellent presentation and negotiation skills; CRM proficiency (Zoho preferred).

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Architect & Designer Engagement
    • Regularly meet with architects and interior designers to present and obtain product approvals.
    • Build strong, lasting relationships to position the brand as a preferred choice in their projects.
    • Identify and target new architects and designers to expand brand visibility.
  • Product Presentation & Approvals
    • Conduct tailored product presentations for architects, interior designers, and project influencers.
    • Manage approval pipelines and follow-ups effectively to support timely decision-making.
  • Channel Partner Development
    • Build and maintain a strong network of channel partners and dealers.
    • Provide ongoing support, training, and motivation to dealer sales teams to drive sales.
  • B2A Sales (Business-to-Architect)
    • Leverage industry knowledge and contacts to secure consistent approvals from architects and consultants.
    • Drive specification-based sales by aligning offerings to project requirements and timelines.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
    • Utilize CRM tools (Zoho or equivalent) to manage customer data, lead allocation, and reporting.
    • Ensure proper panel management and allocation of leads/dealers to sales representatives.
  • Retail Sales & Dealer Management
    • Support retail sales operations by assisting dealers with customer handling and architect engagements.
    • Ensure timely service, stock availability, and ongoing support to key dealers.
  • Team Training & Development
    • Provide regular training and mentoring to dealer sales staff and internal teams.
    • Keep teams updated on new product offerings, technical details, and effective sales techniques.

  • Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of product specifications.
  • Industry acumen: Knowledge of the architectural and interior design process and the premium building materials market.
  • CRM proficiency: Experience with CRM software like Zoho or similar tools is required.
  • Education: Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 4+ years in sales or business development with a focus on architects and designers in the building materials or premium interiors industry. Experience with tile products is highly preferred.
