Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager – Gold Loan role based in Gorakhpur. The Sales Manager will drive gold loan business growth by acquiring new customers, nurturing existing relationships, and meeting assigned sales and revenue targets. Daily responsibilities include managing a portfolio of gold loan customers, explaining product features and terms, assessing customer needs, and ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with bank policies. The role involves coordinating with branch staff, conducting local market activities and campaigns, and monitoring competitor offerings to identify new opportunities. The Sales Manager will also be expected to maintain high service standards, oversee timely loan processing and repayment follow-up, and provide regular performance reports to leadership.
Qualifications

  • Proven experience in retail banking or financial services sales, preferably in gold loans or secured lending.
  • Strong customer relationship management and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust and close sales.
  • Solid understanding of loan products, documentation, basic credit assessment, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to conduct field visits, local marketing activities, and execute branch-level sales campaigns effectively.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities to evaluate customer needs and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Clear and professional communication skills in English and local languages; strong interpersonal skills.
  • Comfort with using banking systems, MS Office, and digital tools for reporting and customer management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or a related field; relevant sales certifications are an advantage.
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring sales teams is desirable, along with a target-driven and ethical approach.
