Position: Sales Manager – Biotech Process Equipment

Experience: 6–8 years of relevant experience in biotech / biopharma equipment sales.

Location: Pune, India

Industry: Biotech / Biopharma Engineering & Equipment


About the Role:

Our client is a growing engineering and process technology company specializing in bioprocess equipment and turnkey solutions for the biotechnology and biopharmaceutical industry.

The company provides end-to-end solutions including process design, engineering, manufacturing, automation, and installation of bioprocess systems. They are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to drive business development and expand their presence in the biotech and biopharma market.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within biotech and biopharmaceutical companies, research institutes, and CDMOs.
  • Promote and sell bioprocess equipment, process systems and solutions including: Fermenters / Bioreactors, Bioprocess automation and control systems
  • Manage the complete sales cycle including lead generation, client meetings, technical discussions, proposal preparation, negotiation, and order closure.
  • Work closely with engineering and project teams to develop techno-commercial proposals and customized solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with R&D teams, production heads, project teams, and procurement departments.
  • Track industry developments, upcoming biotech manufacturing projects, and market opportunities.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue goals.


Candidate Profile:

  • 6–8 years of experience in sales or business development in biotech / biopharma equipment.
  • Experience selling fermenters, bioreactors, upstream or downstream bioprocess systems is highly preferred.
  • Good understanding of biotech manufacturing processes and fermentation technology.
  • Strong network within biotech companies, biopharma manufacturers, CDMOs, and research institutes is desirable.
  • Strong technical sales, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.


Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, or Life Sciences.
  • MBA in Sales/Marketing will be an added advantage.
