Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic Sales Support Representative (Pump Spare Parts) to join our Commercial Operations team in Coimbatore. In this role, you will support the APAC region as part of an international team.

The position involves determining cost and sales prices for pump parts using strong technical knowledge, and collaborating closely with various Flowserve departments across APAC and other global locations.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate incoming quotation requests in the quotation system.
• Prepare quotations for Pump AM requests such as spare parts, SPIR, and upgrades.
• Review and analyze technical specifications (drawings, material specs, history, etc.).
• Prepare proposals in a fast-paced environment, managing pricing components and technical reviews.
• Handle multiple proposals simultaneously throughout the full bid cycle—from opportunity initiation to fulfillment kickoff.
• Provide clarifications to the sales team and customers as needed.
• Determine cost and sales price using internal tools, systems, technical insight, and supplier quotes.
• Explore alternate solutions in collaboration with cross‑functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Planning).
• Route incoming queries to the appropriate internal stakeholders.
• Engage with customers, Sales, and Operations on technical issues and attend queries.
• Achieve on‑time performance for proposal submissions.
• Ensure SAP approval before receiving orders.
• Maintain and update proposal logs in a timely manner.
• Comply with Flowserve Values, Business Ethics & Code of Conduct.
• Support off‑site customer project presentations and kickoff meetings.
• Follow all procedures related to the order acquisition process and provide process improvement feedback.
• Perform technical reviews of customer documents while addressing commercial constraints.
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–2 years of experience in Commercial Operations or internal quoting roles within an industrial equipment manufacturer (preferably Pumps & Valves).
• Knowledge of centrifugal pumps, rotating equipment, metallurgy, material specifications, inventory control, and basic sales cycle concepts is an added advantage.
• Strong proficiency in IT tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and ERP systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Japanese language proficiency is an added advantage .
• Strong problem‑solving ability, with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively across international teams.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and perform well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
