Role Description
Business Development Manager – Franchisee Business
Company: Sylcon Shoes
Location: Kochi, Kerala
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: Up To Rs. 70,000/month and incentives based on franchisee onboarded count
Sylcon Shoes is looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Manager – Franchisee Business to drive franchise expansion across Kerala.
We are specifically looking for candidates with experience and strong understanding FOCO, FICO, and FOFO models. The candidate will be responsible for identifying potential franchise partners, generating leads through different channels and databases, evaluating business opportunities, preparing financial feasibility studies, and expanding the Sylcon Shoes franchise network across suitable markets in Kerala. Online marketing support for lead generation will be provided by the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate leads for potential franchise partners and business investors across Kerala.
- Generate franchise enquiries through multiple channels, including field visits, references, business networks, databases, property consultants, local contacts, online enquiries, and other lead sources.
- Work on FOCO, FICO, and FOFO franchise expansion models.
- Present the Sylcon Shoes franchise opportunity to prospective partners in a professional and convincing manner.
- Evaluate franchise applicants based on investment capacity, business background, market understanding, location strength, and long-term commitment.
- Identify suitable markets and retail locations for franchise expansion across Kerala.
- Conduct basic market study including customer profile, competition, rental feasibility, visibility, accessibility, and business potential.
- Prepare basic P&L projections, break-even analysis, ROI analysis, and payback period calculations for prospective franchise opportunities.
- Explain investment requirements, operating model, expected returns, payback period, business potential, and brand expectations to potential franchise partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing franchise partners.
- Coordinate franchise discussions, commercial understanding, onboarding formalities, and agreement-related processes.
- Coordinate with Sylcon’s online marketing support team for lead follow-up and conversion.
- Work closely with internal teams and management to ensure smooth franchise onboarding and business alignment.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Kerala markets, towns, and key commercial locations.
- Experience in franchise development, franchise sales, business development, retail expansion, or channel development.
- Ability to prepare P&L, break-even, ROI, and payback analysis.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and convincing skills.
- Ability to interact confidently with investors, business owners, landlords, brokers, and local market contacts.
- Good understanding of retail business, preferably in footwear, fashion, lifestyle, apparel, FMCG, QSR, or franchise-based businesses.
- Strong field orientation and willingness to travel extensively across Kerala.
- Good relationship-building and follow-up skills.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of working independently.
Qualification & Experience
Education : Graduation/Post Graduation
Experience:
3–7 years of experience in business development, franchise development, franchise sales, retail expansion, channel sales, real estate acquisition, or retail operations.
Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be a confident, field-oriented professional with strong local market knowledge and experience in franchise business development. The candidate should be comfortable dealing with investors, preparing business feasibility calculations, explaining franchise models, and converting leads into successful franchise partnerships.
Candidates with prior experience in FOCO, FICO, FOFO franchise models, retail expansion, footwear, fashion, lifestyle, apparel, QSR, or consumer retail will be preferred.
