Job Description

Supervise and mentor a team of CAD designers, ensuring adherence to project deadlines and quality benchmarks
Oversee the creation, review, and revision of technical drawings and schematics using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to interpret design requirements and deliver accurate documentation
Implement and enforce standardized CAD drafting practices, templates, and file management protocols
Conduct regular quality assurance checks on drawings to ensure compliance with industry regulations and client specifications
Coordinate with procurement and construction teams to resolve design-related issues and facilitate smooth project execution
Maintain up-to-date records of design changes, revisions, and approvals using document control systems
Lead training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance team competency and innovation
Act as a key point of contact between design, administration, and field teams to ensure alignment and transparency

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field
2–5 years of progressive experience in CAD design, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team leadership role
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or equivalent CAD software; experience with 3D modeling and drafting is essential
Strong understanding of technical drawing standards (ISO, ANSI, ASME) and project documentation practices
Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team while maintaining high performance and morale
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to precision in all design deliverables
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across departments
