Key Responsibilities
Test Analysis & Design
- Analyze user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria to define testing scope
- Design comprehensive test cases using industry-standard techniques, including:
- Boundary Value Analysis
- Equivalence Partitioning
- Positive and Negative Scenarios
- Maintain clear traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects
- Convert manual test cases into scalable and maintainable automation scripts
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript
- Build reusable automation components and utilities to improve framework stability and scalability
- Ensure automation coverage across functional, regression, and smoke test suites
- Execute automated test runs and analyze results to ensure quality standards are met
- Generate automation reports and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement
- Collaborate closely with Developers and QA team members to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects
- Actively contribute to improving test processes, standards, and best practices
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in test automation using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript)
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and basic design patterns
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
- Ability to solve complex problems involving strings, arrays, and object-based data structures
- Experience integrating automation suites with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions
- Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools, preferably Jira
- Experience with desktop application automation
- Exposure to API testing, particularly REST APIs
- Familiarity with executing automation suites in cloud-based test environments and analyzing test failures
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum QA processes
