Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement sourcing strategies for the assigned commodity portfolio, aligned with business objectives.
• Lead negotiations effectively, demonstrating strong interpersonal and soft skills, with a focus on optimizing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
• Actively participate in New Product Development (NPD) from the early stages, ensuring a First Time Right approach across Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Service (QCDS). Drive innovation while adhering to project budgets and timelines.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to supply continuity, cost escalation, quality, warranty, safety, and compliance. Stay aware of evolving socio-economic and geopolitical factors impacting the supply chain.
• Take ownership of costing activities methodology is important, but achieving the right outcomes is critical.
• Drive localization initiatives to reduce dependency on imports and improve supply chain efficiency.
• Continuously explore and benchmark markets to identify best-in-class suppliers, ensuring optimal quality, cost, and lead times.
• Standardize best practices through formal agreements, processes, and documentation.
• Promote lean sourcing practices and digitalization by leveraging standard tools, platforms, supply agreements, and advanced demand planning/forecasting methods.

Qualifications/Knowledge & Work Experience:

• Graduate Mechanical/production Engineer, post-graduation degree in Management is added advantage.
• 08-14 years’ experience in strategic sourcing/purchasing, in diverse business.
• Background of Automotive, compressor manufacturing, Engineering/Industrial goods Industry is Preferred
• Able to read a technical drawing with tolerances & specifications, with experience in Fabrication commodities.
• Techno commercials know how on compressor parts buying like- engine, cooler, electric panel is a benefit
