Purchase Officer

Position Details:

• Designation: Purchase Officer
• Department: Procurement / Purchase
• Location:  Indore office (responsible Dewas unit)
• Reporting To:  Senior Purchase Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Vendor identification, evaluation, and development
• Procurement consumables, and spare parts
• Price negotiation and cost optimization
• Preparing purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery
• Maintaining inventory levels and coordination with stores
• Supplier performance monitoring and compliance
• Handling RFQs, comparative statements, and contract finalization

Required Qualification:

• Diploma / B.E (Mechanical/Electrical)
• MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain/Operations (preferred)

Experience:

• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in Engg. purchase
• Prior experience in a manufacturing industry is mandatory (cement / SSP industry preferable)
• Hands-on experience with any ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Knowledge in inventory management.

Skills Required:

• Good communication and analytical skills
• Knowledge of industrial materials, spare parts, and sourcing
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting

Salary – CTC 40 – 45 k
