The ESG Project Management Specialist role at Honeywell is an exciting opportunity to work within and understand the ESG function at Madurai, India. The ESG Project Management Specialist should be capable of decision-making, identifying customer questions and queries related to products and processes within Honeywell, managing customer queries, and delivering timely responses. The ideal candidate must possess a positive attitude, a proactive mindset, and high attention to detail.
This role is part of Honeywell’s Sustainability Center of Excellence (CoE) and requires the ability to effectively collaborate both inside and outside the ESG function in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for answering customer queries and surveys while maintaining adherence to ESG reporting and regulatory frameworks. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement, digitization, and other initiatives while ensuring timely delivery.

The ESG Project Management Specialist should be capable of decision-making, identifying customer questions and queries related to products and processes within Honeywell, managing customer queries, and delivering timely responses. You will be responsible for answering customer queries and surveys while maintaining adherence to ESG reporting and regulatory frameworks. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement, digitization, and other initiatives while ensuring timely delivery.
Responsibilities
- Review and collate responses to various Honeywell customer queries, questionnaires, and surveys related to the ESG domain.
- Identify gaps for products, services, or activities where standardized responses are not available.
- Create and manage a centralized database of all customer queries and submitted responses.
- Develop and maintain a centralized library containing all critical information needed to respond to customer queries, questionnaires, and surveys.
- Understand and classify products, services, and activities according to US NAICS Codes, EU NACE codes, and support other Harmonized System (HSN) codes for accurate alignment.
- Identify the appropriate Environmental objective or Sustainability offering category for various products, services, and activities.
- Coordinate with the Sustainability CoE team and Corporate Sustainability team to collate critical information for responses.
- Work with data from ESG reporting agencies such as TCFD, SASB, CDP, EcoVadis, Energy Efficiency Directive, UK SECR, and other ESG regulatory and voluntary reporting frameworks to deliver responses to customer queries.
- Monitor market trends, best practices, reporting frameworks, and ESG policies/regulations to ensure processes and reporting practices align with emerging trends.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in the sustainability or ESG domain.
- Ability to understand and interpret customer queries and identify appropriate responses.
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to develop actionable insights.
- Awareness of environmental regulations and sustainability standards.
- Knowledge of ESG and sustainability reporting protocols including the GHG Protocol, SASB, and TCFD.
- Excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills.
- Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Strong project management skills to drive execution within teams.
