Project Engineer – Transmission Line (Execution)

To execute and supervise all activities related to the construction, erection, and commissioning of Extra High Voltage (EHV) transmission lines, ensuring adherence to technical standards, quality requirements, and project timelines.

Site Execution & Supervision

Execute all site activities related to surveying, tower foundation, erection, stringing, and sagging.

Supervise contractor teams for tower erection using derricks, cranes, or gin poles as per method statements.

Ensure all works are performed in line with approved drawings, BOQ, and specifications.

Monitor daily site progress, manpower, and equipment utilization.

Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and safety teams for smooth execution.

Liaise with clients, consultants, and vendors for inspections and material dispatch.

Maintain site documentation – daily progress report, work permits, and measurement records.

Prepare and maintain as-built drawings and material reconciliation statements.

Support project billing and progress measurement activities.

Quality Control & Inspection

Check foundation marking, stub setting, and concreting as per approved design.

Inspect fabricated tower materials, hardware, insulators, and conductors at site.

Ensure tightening torque values, alignment, and verticality of towers as per standards.

Conduct inspection during stringing, maintain proper sag and tension, and ensure clearance from ground and obstacles.

Prepare quality checklists, inspection reports, and submit for client approval.

Testing and Commissioning

Supervise line testing activities such as insulation resistance (IR), continuity, and line patrolling before charging.

Coordinate with substation teams for line termination, jumper connections, and final charging.

Ensure all punch points are cleared before energization
