Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET), established in 1996, is the first private engineering college in Jammu and Kashmir, and a flagship institution of the MIER Group. The institution has a rich legacy, with the MIER Group dating back to its foundation in 1936, initially as the Model Academy, the first private school in the region. Over decades, MIET and its parent organization have fostered academic excellence, producing distinguished alumni across various fields. Today, the institute serves over 4,500 learners from pre-school to doctoral levels, with a commitment to quality education. MIET operates under the approvals of AICTE and other statutory bodies and has a proven history of academic advancements.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jammu for a Professor, Professor of Practice, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, or Trainer/Programmer. Responsibilities include developing and delivering lectures, mentoring students, conducting research, creating programs and courses, and contributing to academic services and committees. Faculty members are also expected to help in curriculum development, pursue funding opportunities, and engage in scholarly activities to advance knowledge and mentorship within their respective fields.

Qualifications
  • Strong subject-matter expertise and experience relevant to the role, with a focus on Engineering, Technology, or related fields.
  • Proven teaching skills, along with proficiency in instructional methodologies, and curriculum planning.
  • Research and publication experience, along with a commitment to academic excellence and advancing knowledge through research activities.
  • Competence in mentoring students, guiding research projects, and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
  • Expertise with modern tools, programming, innovations in technical educational methods, and field-specific technology.
  • Master’s degree or doctoral degree in the relevant discipline is required; relevant certification or work experience in academic or professional settings is beneficial.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills with a commitment to continuous learning and development.
