Position Title: Production Manager

Reports to: Director - Operations

Location: HARTING Manufacturing India , Chennai

Position Summary

HARTING Company Introduction– High-performance connection technology forms the basis of industrial application

and product technology. The HARTING range of products and solutions comprises connectors, device connection

technology and network components. HARTING products connect machines and facilities via data, signal and power.

HARTING employs around 6,000 people across its 42 sales companies and 14 production locations.

The candidate for this position needs to have proven capabilities for Development of processing in new and

relocation connectors, cable assembly and harness. Maintain and improve serial connectors. This position is based

in Chennai, Tamilnadu. India.

Qualifications

Education Required: Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or B.Tech

Good command of English (written and spoken)

Preferred: Male candidates are preferred.

Work Experience Required: At least 12-15 years in Engineer position in a manufacturing /engineering environment

Preferred: Dealing with electromechanical products preferably cable assemblies, Wiring Harness and connectors.

Essential Functions

 Ensuring Q,C,D & H of shopfloor

 Ensuring 4M readiness as per PPC requirement.

 Monitoring & Adherence to OTD targets, interacting PPC for weekly plan adherence.

 Contingency planning for OTD & Revenue Targets

 Monitoring & Maintaining WIP value accuracy ( Net variance less than 0.3% )

 Conducting Shopfloor cycle 1 and cycle 2 meeting

 Coordination with CFT to ensure targets are achieved and getting corrections for gap found.

 Monitoring hourly output of the shopfloor

 Identifying Gaps and conducting gap analysis with CFT

 Connecting with CFT in Proto build and sharing issues faced in prototyping.

 Optimum utilization of all equipment’s with zero loss.

 Driving continuous improvement in shopfloor with achieving Kaizen blitz targets per month

 Driving Suggestions scheme in production shopfloor.

 Improving multi tasking of workforce in shopfloor in liaison with training team.

 Work on Harlis deployment in shopfloor with points from different clauses

 Effective maintaining of shopfloor 5S.

 Daily booking of NCMR and raising MR to close the production order.

 Daily production confirmation after ensuring posting from warehouse. Meeting weekly revenue targets

 Conducting Gemba audits and timely closure of open points.

 Supporting QMS & EHS implementation ,documentation and audit closure.

 Customer audit preparation and presentation

 Preparing DRM slides, MRM & PRM slides and taking action to close open points
