Key Responsibilities:

Product Development & Innovation

• Research, design, and develop nutraceutical formulations (capsules, powders, herbal supplements).
• Upgrade existing products and cross‑check shelf life for compliance and safety.
• Conduct market surveys and user feedback studies to identify new product opportunities.
• Launch new products based on market research and consumer trends.
• Collect product feedback post‑launch and implement upgrades or improvements.

Vendor & Manufacturing Management

• Search and evaluate third‑party manufacturing vendors.
• Conduct factory visits to assess quality, compliance, and capacity.
• Negotiate and sign contracts with manufacturing partners.
• Verify legal certifications of manufacturing units (GMP, HACCP, ISO, etc.).

Regulatory & Legal Compliance

• Obtain FSSAI licenses and all other required state and central government approvals for products.
• Manage raw material sourcing and vendor selection, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
• Handle import/export approvals with customs officials for raw materials and finished products.
• Ensure adherence to Consumer Protection (Direct Selling) Rules, 2021 and other applicable laws.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work with R&D, QA, marketing, and supply chain teams to align product development with business goals.
• Coordinate with legal teams for certifications, approvals, and compliance documentation.

Qualifications:

Education – Bachelor’s/Master’s in Food Science, Nutrition, Biochemistry.

Experience – 3–7 years in nutraceuticals, food supplements, or functional foods.

Technical Skills – Formulation, shelf‑life testing, vendor audits, regulatory documentation, product launch management.

Regulatory Knowledge – Strong understanding of FSSAI, GMP, HACCP, customs clearance, and state/central licensing.

Soft Skills – Negotiation, project management, analytical thinking, and cross‑team communication.
